PROCESS : MAKING A TIMELINE PERFORMANCE

The concept of our performance was to use our pee combined with ink (reference to Munson) as a tool for creating together dots (reference to Kusama). We use for each dot in our performance a specific finger and thereby reference our chosen 20 names ( 10 names per person > 10 fingers per person). Furthermore did we gather sounds of strangers which I made into a soundscape for the performance. We asked 20 strangers to make a sound inspired by one of our 20 names/inspirations. In our performance we used a finger for each sound,inspired by one of the 20 names, that was made by a stranger. We started with the pinky finger. We chose the outfits for each other out our own wardrobe. We wanted to be in the same colour as our pee ink. So Madalena gave me her red dress and I gave her my black dress.

We chose from the 20 names of each other 10 names and combined them into our collaborative 20 names performance. Our collaborative 20 names list:

Our "Pee Jars"

Madalena and I were exploring some different methods to change the form of our dotted paper.

- Envelops that we could send to the government or the artists that were our inspiration

- To let the dots "explode"

- To eat the dots

We agreed that we wanted to cut out all the individual dots and get 20 envelops to put them in.

After we had cut out all the individual dots, we put all the dots in a circle around our "pee jars" and put the 20 envelops as a barrier.

Then we decided to put all in the 20 envelops. Also the blank cutted paper.

THE FINAL PRODUCT : 20 ENVELOPS FILLED WITH CUT UP DOTS AND PAPER.
